WOW Education Fund

Inspired by the lack of educational opportunities in the remote villages of the Himalaya and wanting to make a real difference to the people who have given us so much, World of Wonder Adventures, Inc. proudly formed the Sherpa Education Fund in 1999.
With the help of our generous and loyal adventure clients, WOW Adventures, Inc. has been able to commit to funding the education of our Nepalese trekking guide's son, Rinzing. Our goal is to get him all the way through high school which is only another few years!
Rinzing started at the Paragon School (a private boarding school) in Kathmandu at age of 5. He is now 16 years old and will be entering the 10th grade in April of 2011. All classes are taught in English with a full range of subjects. While at school, Rinzing is also provided full room, board, medical and dental care. It is very fulfilling to think about the difference this education has made in Rinzing's life as well that of his family and those back home in the Himalayan community of Namche Bazaar at over 12,000' in elevation.
Because of the difference the Sherpa Education Fund has made for Rinzing, WOW expanded their vision to include children worldwide and aptly renamed the fund, World of Wonder Education Fund or WOWEF in 2005. 100% of all donations go directly to Rinzing's education, however, WOW hopes to provide other children in the countries they visit the same opportunities Rinzing has enjoyed.
It is WOW Adventures, Inc. commitment that as we discover new areas of the world, so too will WOWEF. If you haven't done so already, we hope that you will join us in this very worthwhile pursuit.
